Types of Unhelpful Thoughts
Being able to notice unhelpful thoughts is the first step you can take to adjust them to more helpful ones. Have a look at the following eight examples – do you recognise any of these thoughts?

Black and white thinking is when you tend to think of things in extremes.
“If I can’t do what I used to any more, I’m just not going to bother at all.”
A common thought might be,

Always going from one extreme to the other.
