Once you have had a thought, especially a negative thought, it can be hard to stop thinking it. Unhelpful thoughts can be hard to switch off and are very distracting.
Is it automatic?
Is it a thought that has popped up without warning or prompting?
These thoughts can happen at any time or place.
Is it distorted
This is a thought that is often inaccurate, one-sided and biased towards the negative.
Is it plausible?
A completely believable thought that arrives disguised as a fact. It is important to remember that thoughts are just thoughts, not facts.
